  1. We do have domestic techs and will probably outfit them to do it here for a modest fee so we can avoid international shipping. That said, we're still awaiting a stable amanero release, so... any day now, but we're not quite there yet. Once something reliable goes live, we'll sort out logistics.
  2. Believe me when I say that we at Lampi are itching to get you guys a good firmware so all of you can enjoy. Yeang volunteered to essentially try a beta version of the firmware we got from Amanero which isn't ready for public consumption. I'm thrilled to see it working in the real world, not just our test systems, but it is not complete at this point. Aside from the stable firmware we have used for a while, we have essentially two betas which seem to be pretty functional, but require decision making. One version will allow DSD in native up to 512 in Linux, but we are only able to use up to DSD256 in Windows. The other version allows DSD512 in windows but only up to 128 in Linux. We are very eager for Amanero to compile the working parts and give us a finalized firmware, which shouldn't be long at all now. Once we have it we will work quickly to sort some domestic logistics for people who need it. Things are getting exciting... stay tuned! Best, Fred A. 3. Shsoh, I don't know the back story here and you are not in my territory (North America), but I hate reading of your frustrations. Drop me an email [email protected] and I will take this on personally and make sure you get a happy ending. Fred
  4. What is the subject line of your email? I followed up with the factory to tell them to be on the lookout for it, but they don't see anything from you in that mailbox.
  5. Hi, You can reach our operations/customer service team at [email protected] What country are you in? Fred A. Lampizator North America
  6. Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues. Lukasz does not closely monitor his email. His primary focus on the brand is on the development end, but we have an entire team in place in Poland to handle customer service and support. Why don't you reach out to Kris or Anna in operations? Or, if you are a North American customer, please feel free to reach out to me.
  7. LOL Feel free to bring your glow-sticks! On a serious note, thanks for hosting this event, Deepak! I know we will have a great time. I'll likely bring an Atlantic, as I know that is a piece people are curious about and also a new Amber and likely a Golden Gate. We'll also plan on lugging over a Komputer or two. Should be a great time. I hope to see many of you there! Fred
  8. I monitor my email pretty obsessively and certainly wouldn't intentionally turn away new business. Please shoot me a line at [email protected] and I'll be pleased to speak with you.
  9. Thanks for your interest in the Euforia. It's a killer dac indeed and I am happy to discuss it with you. Generally North American inquiries should come to Robert or myself to avoid delays in response. Please feel free to drop a line or give a call! Fred A.
  10. This is an issue we've encountered a few times with Audiovana. It can be resolved domestically if necessary. Can you do me a favor and try playing the same playlist in itunes and see if the same behavior persists? Best, Fred A. LampizatOr North America
  11. No need to diagnose the LampizatOr--its gone and not coming back. It was capable of beauty, but it influenced my listening way too much. I didn't even realize it until it was gone and I was demoing a prototype/pre-release of another high end dac--but all of a sudden I was listening to more rock, hip hop and stuff I'd grown up with. The Metrum is more neutral and linear and sounding VG in current form, but I'm curious as to the best way to feed it for the time being.
  12. I recently purchased a Metrum Octave to replace a LampizatOr Level 3 DAC. The LampizatOr was capable of beauty, but was way too colored and noisy with a constricted sound stage. The Metrum has been a breath of fresh air, but I'm curious if I'm getting the most out of it. There seems to be many using this with Squeezebox Touches while others are using it with computer music servers and $3k usb/spdif converters... Presently I'm using a Squeezebox Touch with Bolder Cable company digital modifications and a Bolder Cable company power supply with music rails--I've also applied the soundcheck toolbox 3 mods. Its a very competent transport, but is this what the Octave wants? I ordered a MacMini yesterday (numerous reasons) thinking it may be a better transport for the Metrum, but before I throw an money at macmini mods, I'm curious as to whether my actions are misguided from the get go. I'm also curious if those expensive usb/spdif interfaces are necessary. I did read recommendations here for things like the Konnekt 24D being a very good converter, but I have no idea how that would compare with the tricked out Squeezebox I've already invested in. FWIW my system is very transparant and consists of Zu Definition 2 speakers (with nanotec drivers orderd) Melody MK88 Metrum Octave Wywire signal cabling throughout (including USB and SPDIF cables) Pi Audio Uberbuss I guess what I'm curious about is: With 8gbs of RAM, a SSD and some software optimizing can I make a current gen Macmini sound better then my maxed out Touch with an affordable digital interface like the Konnekt 24D? Is there a similar inexpensive recommendation for USB (so I can use my excellent Wywire USB cable)? Thanks for any direction you guys can give me.
