  1. Hi, I own an iBasso D4 that I've had for a little bit over a year and and 75% of the time I've had it, I've had a serious issue. At the most random of times (so random I can't reproduce it, happens when I least expect it), I will get an ear shattering pop in my right channel, intense enough that it actually hurts my ear. I use foobar2000 to play my music and primarily use WASAPI. So far things I've tried to eliminate the pops is using a different USB cable, using Direct Sound instead of WASAPI, tried different buffer levels in WASAPI, and tried powering from battery. Everything still caused pops except from powering from battery. I can't say for sure if powering from the battery has fixed it as I still need to buy and get through more batteries to be certain in may be a power issue. I've searched around and only found threads relating to crackling/pops during playback which is something I do not have an issue with. Audio playback works perfect except for when out of nowhere the loud pop occurs. Unknown of what's causing the problem, I'm leaning towards getting a self powered USB hub or just buying a bunch of 9V batteries. If anybody is familiar with this problem I would appreciate any feedback. There's a guy at head-fi who's also trying to help me with my issue.
