  1. Well, that is why I bought the new computer to play most any file at 48K 512. And I have yet to find any music player that surpasses HQP. I've asked Miska for a new key. I'll see what he says and go from there.
  2. Bought a Windows 11 computer and my old key for HQP 3 won't work. Can I get a new key?

  3. Maybe Windows 11 is the issue. HQP 4 works, just that it quits after 30 minutes of play. I understand that. I haven't decided to purchase it so I'm in trial mode. I'm just overwhelmed by the complexity of HQP 4. What was your learning curve? Thanks Bobflood, I'll email Miska.
  4. No, I didn't. I bought a brand new computer and transferred HQP 3.25.4 from the old computer to the new one. 3.25.4 was paid for. But when I open it Signalyst shows it as a "30 minutes of play at a time" trial version. I can't enter the keys proving I already paid for this version or get the conversion for the key to work. I also downloaded the "30 minutes of play at a time" trial version of HQP 4. Honestly I find HQP 4 much more difficult to use than the 3 version. Are you implying there's no going back to a previous version and that my only option is to upgrade to HQP 4?
  5. No response would almost lead me to believe I'm the only person not using HQ Player version 4. It strikes me odd that JRiver can restore a license from any version you paid for with 10 restores/year and it's easy. Why is it so difficult to restore an older HQ Player version if that's what you want? After all, it was legitimately paid for. Not everyone wants to step into a more upgraded (and difficult to use) version. If anyone is willing I'd still appreciate info on how to change the HQPlayer Desktop 3 Windows key conversion *txt. file to *hml. Because this isn't working for me. https://www.signalyst.com/convert-key.html
  6. HQ Player version 3.25.4 was successfully downloaded on my new Windows 11 computer and now plays 48K 512 flawlessly, but only at 30 minute increments. HQ Player always opens saying it's a trial version. I have a registration key in a *txt. file but have no idea how to convert it to a *xlm. file. When I use the HQPlayer Desktop 3 Windows key conversion it doesn't work but takes me to Not Found The requested URL was not found on this server. Apache Server at www.signalyst.com Port 443 Any suggestions?
  7. @ AudoDoctor, I played tracks @ 48K 512 using "poly sinc" with no problems. But if I choose to off load onto the GPU how do I go about it? Is it more to it than just checking the GPU offload box? You mentioned earlier, "CUDA is the software that runs on the Nvidia GPU. Do you have the CUDA software?" How would I know? I just assumed if a computer came with an upscale GPU, it would come with the software to fully utilize it already working.
  8. Not sure. I have Nividia RTX 3070Ti. How would I check?
  9. I've got the CUDA box checked. There isn't an option for Nvidia GPU. Are they the same thing?
  10. Thank you, I'd forgotten about the driver. It is now installed and the DAC is upsampling 48K 512 and sounds better than before.
  11. @Quadman, Thanks, I'd forgotten all about the driver. It's installed and the DAC is upsampling like a champ.
  12. Thank you for reminding me. I installed the driver and it's upsampling perfectly. Can you tell me how to submit my registration key?
  13. Don't mean to derail the conversation but not quite sure where to go for help. I just bought an Alienware Aurora R13 Gaming computer with Intel Core i9 12900KF, 32 GBDDR5 RAM, Nividia RTX 3070Ti and Windows 11 Pro. All that in hopes of being able to run any 48k 512 DSD file on Signalyst HQ Player with my T+A DAC 8 DSD. Disappointed. For reasons unknown to me I can't upsample any file to greater than 48k 128 DSD. Plus side, at that rate, to my ears it sounds as good as running files at 48K 512 on my old Windows 10 computer (after a LOT of trial and error). I was so frustrated I momentarily went back to JRiver and even trialed Audirvana to see if they rivaled HQ Player. They both sounded a bit diffuse and bottlenecked my DAC at PCM 348K. Weird, the new computer sees my DAC as "Speakers T+A DAC 8 DSD." and only lets DSD play in WASAPI. It used to be ASIO. I'm using my old version (3.25.4) on the new computer. I have a Register Key, but see no place to put it in. I tried the new HQPlayer 4 first. Very complicated for my limited abilities . Any ideas how I can get the new computer to let my DAC play 48K 512 DSD again? The computer gives the option of playing CD or DVD quality. Is this my bottleneck? Is there a way to get past this? My old Windows 10 had the same options but between HQ Player and the T+A DAC 8 DSD I had no problems playing 48K 512. To anyone who responds, please make it simple. I'm not computer savvy.
