  1. I this company still in business?

  2. Sorry for the delayed response I have been very busy! I do not know if it is worth replying to this thread? I proved that my platforms improves the sound of the Mac Mini with a solid state hard drive when used as a transport. As for over damping it can happen with any audio equipment. Electronics are very sensitive to vibration and if you remove too much of one resonate frequency other frequencies will be emphasized and or suffer. As for testing audio equipment, you can have two pieces equipment that use the exact same circuit design and measure exactly the same, but sound radically different and that difference in sound can be between two different brands of transistors that have identical specifications the same can be said about DAC chips. This is where good audio companies audition different parts until they get the sound they want before they take their product to market. These high end audio manufacturers will buy a huge inventory of these internal components as to keep their signature sound. Almost all of these companies will audition the electronic components that go in their equipment as well as the case that houses the electronics until they find the right combination of performance in sound. That being said there are outside factors that effect the sound of a particular audio component like vibration. I used to live in a house that had wood floors and I could hear the difference in sound with my old CD player headphone system when I moved to my current home that has carpet over concrete slab. My old house everything sound hallow overly warm this house is more neutral in sonic signature.
  3. Thank you for keeping an open mind. I do appreciate you trying out my product. I also believe that the Mapleshades 4" blocks are great products but do work better without the rubber blocks. It is my opinion and observation that the 4" blocks sound much better with spikes like the big Parts-Express in your one picture or any of the brass spikes made by Mapleshades under the 4" solid maple block. The objective is to isolate and the rubber mat blocks do not do that.
  4. Driven by Sound, Have you tried it on a regular shelf and not on the 4" thick Mapleshades block? It may be over damping the Mac Mini being on both the Mapleshades block & Mac Platform. Thanks, George
  5. Chris, Life is too short and we all need a good laugh especially these days! George Chronis
  6. Ooops forgot to put in the link; http://www.atomicaudiolabs.com/humor.html
  7. Here is the new humor section on the Atomic Audio Labs website. George
  8. Julf, I would agree with that statement not a measurable improvement, but you surely can hear it. Keep in mind it is about the music not test results. Because you guys all have a good sense of humor I am now going to make a page on my website for great pictures like the Mac Platform sitting on top of a front loading washing machine. Any other good pictures are encouraged! I love Photoshop! Regards, George
  9. Just, sonically have been able to test. I have not found any test equipment to test this. I can hear the difference! George
  10. I love it, That is awesome! George
  11. That is awesome, I love it! Looks like a great test!
  12. I believe there are several parts that are sensitive to vibration/unwanted energy. When inside a Mac Mini and or almost any other computer, I noticed that the motherboards are very thin and just like tubes vibration/ unwanted energy will cause micro-phonics which causes a certain amount of distortion. The next item on the Mac Mini is the flimsy circular cover on the bottom. I noticed even with a Pass Labs XP 10 preamplifier and an Audio Research DAC 8 when I placed each one of them on different types of surfaces they had different sounds. Even with the high quality circuit boards and cases that these components have they are also subject to vibration. When changing out a spinner hard drive to a Crucial M4 solid state hard drive in one of my Mac Minis I noticed that the mother board is a much lower quality printed circuit board than that of the Audio Research DAC 8 and the Pass Labs XP 10. After talking to an audio friend who works in avionics he confirmed with me the differences in quality of aircraft/military grade printed circuit boards v.s. the printed circuit boards in the Mac Mini. The Pass Labs and the Audio Research printed circuit boards are a super high high quality military grade circuit board and the Mac Mini does not have high quality printed circuit boards, thus making it more sensitive to vibration/unwanted energy. As for testing the Mac Platform it has been confirmed by many listening sessions. In 3 my systems I can definitely hear an improvement and the improvement has been confirmed in many of my friends' systems as well. I have many prototypes that I tried until I found the magic formula that I am currently using. Again thank you for your interest, George
  13. The Mac Mini with a SSD buy itself does not make very much if any vibration. The Mac Platform isolates external vibrations from the Mac Mini. You could get similar results with other isolation devices. What we did was build a device that was specifically tuned for the 2010 and newer uni-body Mac Mini, our device is designed to absorbs external vibration/energy from effecting the Mac Mini. Your loudspeakers output vibration into your listening room and your listening room even at very low levels rings and vibrate which affects every component in your system of course this energy is more apparent with moderate to high listening levels. I found the Mac Mini to be very sensitive to these vibrations/energy. Thank you for your interest in the Mac Platform, George
  14. Driven By Sound, Thank you for purchasing the Mac Platform. I believe that you will enjoy the improvement, that the Mac Platform will add to your music. I am very humbled that you are going to give one of my platforms a try in your system. Regards, George
  15. It is just good old fashioned ISOLATION. Absorb right amount of energy around the Mac Mini and it cleans up the sound and allowing listeners to hear more music. Here is the link to my website where I go into more detail. www.atomicaudiolabs.com - Home Thanks, George
