  1. Amazon USA link (release date July 1). US$128 !! I am only interested in the Blu-ray disc, which will probably not be sold separately.
  2. For Android, are you planning integration with Google Play Music?
  3. And the annoying thing is that all vinyls these days are pressed from a "mastered for vinyl" digital copy. If only they would put that digital master (without the RIAA equalization) on HDTracks. I am guessing they don't because then audiophiles would abandon vinyl in droves and the labels don't want the profits from the vinyl fad to dry up.
  4. Anyone downloaded it yet? Would love to see some comparisons with the CD or MP3.
  5. There are two CD masterings of this album: the superb original RCA VPCD6745 released in 1986, and a misguidedly "remastered" Light In The Attic LITA036 released in 2008. DR Database If you like this album you owe it to yourself to track down a copy of the 1986 mastering. It is infinitely better.
  6. Can you believe I am in my late forties and I had not encountered this album before?
  7. Hey thanks Synfreak, after seeing your screenshots I gave DarkOne v4 a try. I like it! But can you give me a hint how to get the DR values displayed in the play list?
  8. I got the DR plugin for foobar2000 from the link at the top right here: DR Database After installing it, configure it to "Write DR meta data tags": Then after analyzing tracks you should see the <DYNAMIC RANGE> tag set to the DR value: Finally, configure the columns with shorter names so they don't take up so much space:
  9. I use foobar2000 only for analyzing track/album gain and DR values. So I have set it up for showing as much technical information as possible. I still find it very confusing to configure. I can't remember how I got it to look like this.
  10. [h=1]Africa (acoustic Toto cover) - Mike Masse and Jeff Hall[/h]
  11. OK, I posted my readings too. DR Database I don't suppose HDTracks could have had a different version of the download initially? I sent them an email to ask, but I am not sure if they will understand my question.
  12. Unfortunately I paid for and downloaded Delta Machine from HDTracks, and this is what I got: foobar2000 1.2.6 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1 log date: 2013-07-22 12:32:20 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Analyzed: Depeche Mode / Delta Machine -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DR Peak RMS Duration Track -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DR6 0.00 dB -7.83 dB 4:56 01-Welcome To My World DR4 0.00 dB -5.24 dB 3:58 02-Angel DR6 0.00 dB -7.86 dB 4:06 03-Heaven DR6 0.00 dB -7.63 dB 5:12 04-Secret To The End DR5 0.00 dB -8.70 dB 4:24 05-My Little Universe DR6 0.00 dB -7.77 dB 3:46 06-Slow DR6 0.00 dB -8.35 dB 3:59 07-Broken DR8 -0.01 dB -10.28 dB 4:16 08-The Child Inside DR6 0.00 dB -7.30 dB 3:27 09-Soft Touch/Raw Nerve DR6 0.00 dB -7.42 dB 5:05 10-Should Be Higher DR6 0.00 dB -7.66 dB 4:30 11-Alone DR6 0.00 dB -8.25 dB 5:22 12-Soothe My Soul DR6 0.00 dB -8.03 dB 5:04 13-Goodbye DR8 0.00 dB -11.05 dB 4:23 14-Long Time Lie DR7 0.00 dB -8.25 dB 4:20 15-Happens All The Time DR7 0.00 dB -8.88 dB 5:07 16-Always DR6 0.00 dB -7.59 dB 3:25 17-All That's Mine DR5 0.00 dB -6.88 dB 3:52 18-Heaven -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Number of tracks: 18 Official DR value: DR6 Samplerate: 44100 Hz Channels: 2 Bits per sample: 24 Bitrate: 1562 kbps Codec: FLAC ================================================================================
