  1. Thank you for responding. Can it also be downloaded in 24/96? and then subsequently-downloaded in 16/44.1 or another codec....?
  2. Can a Qobuz Sublime purchased album be downloaded in more than one format? Eg 24/96 flac, and 16.1/44 wav.
  3. I was looking at one of these too? Going to check one out at CamJam SoCal later this month.
  4. A great somewhat inexpensive Roon endpoint is the old Bryston BDP-1 (I have two of them). Can be had on the used market for less than $1K. Built like a tank. I think sound quality is better in MPD mode, but the Roon mode is very good.
  5. Dac Magic Plus -a great $350DAC...Your original post, time for ordering, and “200 hour” listening testing period were from when to when? @roy724
  6. You should a happy guy saving more than $5K if you can’t tell the difference. I just recently sold my DAC Magic Plus....nice device. yours must be special, because IMO, to my ears, its not in the same league with the PS Audio DS JR, which is the model below the DS. Give it few days to be sure. Leave in on playing music to your AVR, or preamp.
  7. Good point. With respect to Customer service delivery, there is no comparison. I too had issues with the Schiit email only customer service. I ended up cancelling a Schiit purchase one time when manufacturing delays were extended repeatedly without warning. PS Audio on the other hand is far more responsive, by both phone and forum. If PS Audio is going to take a month to ship, they tell you up front. Schiit started at 7 days, extended to 14, then to 21 days, and I cancelled after it wasn’t shipped. No cancellation fee was applied, so I was only out some time and energy.
  8. I own a PS DS Jr. It replaced a Schiit Gungnir MB (Gumby). I like the Direct Stream Jr better than the Gumby. I have DSD albums, so that makes a difference for me. If you are strictly interested in PCM, and don’t need a bridge, the Yggy is a great choice,
  9. 2 channel downmixed to 7 channel stereo, or stereo played in party mode stereo using all speakers. Have the same thing available on my Yamaha Aventage AVR, in "9 channel stereo.". The Yamaha does a good job as a prepro. 9 channel stereo is what I normally listen to. Sent from my iPad using Computer Audiophile
  10. Software burn-in??? Hmm, what's next? App burn-in? Sent from my iPad using Computer Audiophile
  11. Yes, I have tried EOP (Linksys PLEX 500 / 3 modules). I had some background noise issues in one speaker channel. Using several PS Audio Noise Harvesters on the same circuit path cut the noise to below where I could hear it. I removed the EOP a few months ago; currently, I have a blended system with MoCA and Eero Mesh. Sent from my iPad using Computer Audiophile
  12. That sounds like me too - microRendu (Channel Islands PS) HQPlayer NAA and Eero. Sent from my iPad using Computer Audiophile
  13. Ethernet over Power works well, but can be noisy. @ feelingears, I suggest you try out the Eero. 30 day money back guarantee, so if it doesn't work, you can return it. http://www.eero.com Sent from my iPad using Computer Audiophile
