  1. I disconnect the optical rendu and usb directly from sonictranspoter to the dac, set the ALSA and its working but not great. Picking up some kind of fluttering noise. I’ll keep at it.
  2. This? Dac Diagnostics?
  3. Here’s the latest, I have deleted all the apps, re installed, looks like it’s connecting but still no music. I have deleted the Roon ready in case thats giving a problem. open to hearing more suggestions. Thanks for all the help.
  4. yeah I reset and unplugged everything... starting over. MysonicOrbiter picks up the Rendu from the web browser just not the connecting the way i need it to.
  5. yeah i have rebooted and re installed. every few weeks i try the simple stuff then give up. Also got this log.
  6. having issues for the past 3 months, roon not being able to connect to HQplayer. I have a sonic orbiter computer, optical rendu, embedded Hqplayer. Trying to update stuff. Recently i was able to connect to roon ready on my NAA but still no Hqplayer. Is this log any help at all?
  7. I'd imagine this would be a big jump in performance. I'm LOVING my 3 week old i5 ST and wonder if I should just jump in with both feet and go for the i9 optical with optical Rendu. I used to upsample to dsd512 with HQPlayer and my windows computer and now limited to 128. Getting that ability maybe worth it alone. I'm using the OG mrendu 1.3 and powering that and the i5 with the uptone J-S2. An upgrade would eliminate that benefit. Anyone have experience with this or thoughts? thanks!
  8. I think I remember years ago reading it was preferable to upsample to higher DSD rate and use a -2s filter? I'm using a i5 SGC and I can do 128 and most filters or 256 and -2s filters. I know I know what ever sounds better.... they both sound great. Is there a general rule?
  9. thanks, yeah mine to, until I try to send it to the Rendu. Thats why I'm confused.
  10. My windows powerhouse computer died. I have been using for years for 512 upsampling. I'm trying to use my iMac Quad core to upsample to dsd 128 then to my older microrendu hard wired through my netgear orbi. It easily works while using the hqplayer host computer but trying to use my rendu and NAA It barely can get going. Is there something obvious I'm missing?
  11. I did the dc power and fan upgrade a few years ago and I powered it with a JS2. Now the JS2 is being used someplace else and I wanted to use the mini again. Can it be powered by something else?
  12. "bam" worked! thanks! but why? will I have to do this each time to start?
  13. hmmmm i've used NAAs a rendu and/or windows for so long I guess i forgot it doesn't do more that 128.
  14. I know that NAA as usually run on a simple quiet compute. Could i run a NAA on my desktop iMac that i use daily and control with roon through the core HQPlayer then to my desktop? seems like it should work? i am getting this.
  15. Yes thanks! struggling to get the trial to work. After months, years even...I finally got 512 working on both systems. I’m nervous to start over. First issue...Shouldn’t I be able able to get dsd256 with OS X? And my lampizator big7 with 512 engine. I was able to using a windows naa. But now going direct I am unable.
