Well, the Philips look fantastic. For a bass-lover, the XB900 maybe a good deal. What's the price point? -

New V-MODA (White) M-80 headphone - review
crazy4cans replied to dalethorn's topic in Headphones & Speakers
Dale your reviews are a very good read. Keep up the good work! I thought Dave Solomon's review on headphones.com was very good too and I bought on that recommendation. Your seems to agree with his somewhat: https://www.headphones.com/Headphones/V-Moda-M-80-SHADOW-CROSSFADE-M-80-On-Ear-Headphones-with-Apple-Mic-3-Button-Remote-Shadow-M-80-SHADOW-69654.html Wish I had known the white was coming, I love the way it looks. -
Audio-Technica ATH-M50 headphone review by Dale.

Thanks! -
I know this isn't really where the conversation was headed but I feel that music quality is definitely declining and its been this way for a while. I think it's due largely to the lack of imagination. I would venture to guess that 90% of every song that has any notable commercial success utilizes one of three chord sequences. It's so boring.

Audio-Technica ATH-M50 headphone review by Dale.

Very interesting. I enjoy your review style. Is the main differences between the M50 and the M50S only in the cable design? Here is a link comparing the specs... Compare These items -
In the closed ear category in your pricepoint I recommend any of the following: Compare These items I haven't heard the Pro 550 but I have the 750 and I really like them! The DT660 seems to have a rep for being good for classical.

Another Headphone Recomendation . . . I want to hear the room
crazy4cans replied to HIFI's topic in Headphones & Speakers
I think for "room sound" you're going to want open back so that the sound reverberates with a sense of openness. I might suggest extending a little higher than the $100 pricepoint. The following link includes a few suggestions. Compare These items -
Thanks! Maybe I'll try the 1840.

Tiny Apartment Speaker Recommendations?
crazy4cans replied to mashedmeat's topic in Headphones & Speakers
I live in a fairly small apartment. I've been using the Mackie HR824 as my main speakers for a while now. -
Cool thread! I tried these:https://www.headphones.com/Headphones/Shure-SRH1440-Professional-Premium-Reference-Open-Back-Over-Ear-Headphones-SRH1440-69693.html and I thought they were a little meager in the bass, would the 1840 be better?

Have you considered the SPL Phonitor or Auditor? I love it with my K701! Here's a link where you can compare all 3 models: Compare These items I have the Auditor. It only comes in black. I really wish it came in the silver color. Either way, I highly recommend it with the 701. It's one of the best pairings in my set up.
