  1. Crud - thanks! Well, fine is a relative term. How does one do a non-convert decode on 176.4 if S/PDIF is not fast enough and USB won't do it?
  2. 1.4 does work very well. No more pops, skips, etc. But S/PDIF appears still not right. I just emailed Damien: Has anyone else done any extensive testing with S/PDIF? Cheers - Frank
  3. I just upgraded from a Bifrost to the Gungnir - both with USB. If anyone wants to save $100 on a USB Bifrost pmail me.
  4. Hiccups are back in my Mtn Lion 2010-MBP setup with 1.3.9.10 as well. I have not been able to get the S/PDIF working on ANY of the Betas - I'm VERY anxious to hear the S/PDIF interface on my Gungnir! At least I've not had any kernel panics. SQ is good except for the occasional hiccup. I agree it's not the disk or any other activity as I have an SSD now as "Macintosh HD" and hiccups remain whether on SSD or NAS and it does not matter how much of the 8GB of ram I give to the buffer. Never does an entire album NOT fit in the RAM buffer so no reason at all for disk activity to have any effect. Seek time is essentially -zero- with an SSD anyway. Cheers! Frank
