So I am in the process of building my system it is basically built around an HTPC used for music and also movies. I have not bought an external DAC yet but it is my only option now since my mini-ITX PC has no more PCI-E slots remaining...oh yeah that was used for a video card for gaming
So I was wondering if there are DACs available that are auto-sensing (?) meaning it will turn on without having to power it on manually. Since I can see the complaints already coming: "To listen to music, I have to turn on this (the PC), that (the TV), that (the tube amp), and also that (the DAC)???? #$!#@$#@$"
So any help out there to make the process simpler and easier?
