If your pioneer has bypass ability and preamp outs, just grab a nice amp on audiogon. You have a dac, it seems you just need a volume control!

Try to find a pair on audiogon...or step up the 140. You will never turn back! As long as you feed them a good signal...seems you need a dac...

i'm an audiophile noob, wannabe...why do you go from macbook to vlink to dacIT? Cant you just use the dacIT's USB input?

Actually....the Dac IT seems MORE laid back! The music is so warm, yet it's totally crisp! Three words...warm, detailed, crisp...that's all I can say...Whoever claims the touch DAC is close to this has to be mistaken...could be just my taste in sound, but I doubt it.

Just added Peachtree Dac*It between my sqzbx touch and marantz sr5005 via digi coax (played in pure mode, meaning the only thing the receiver does is control volume, does not touch the signal from the DAC)...the difference is in fact very noticeable and very much improved! The sound is more robust and more detailed. I don't even consider myself a huge audiophile but the Dac It makes me never want to stop listening to my music...even streamed from spotify it sounds awesome! Def. Jumping on the DAC IT Bandwagon!
