Here is a beautiful pair of Sonus Faber Stradivari Homage loudspeakers in the Graphite finish. They are in very good condition. They come with a pair of custom Townshend Seismic Isolation Podiums made specially for these speakers . If you’re reading this you probably know how wonderful the Stradivari speakers sound. Considered to be Franco Serbin’s masterpiece they are further improved using Townshend seismic podiums. The Seismic Podium breaks the acoustic connection between the floor and the speaker, preventing the passage of deleterious vibrations both to and from the speaker cabinets. Floated on Seismic Isolation Podiums, speakers are freed from the ever-present seismic activity and room/floor interactions that seriously degrade sound quality. The result is simply magical. When under your speakers, they will give you immediate improvements in overall sound by preventing speaker generated vibration from entering the floor and sound from entering your speakers, the sound will be noticeably clearer, much more tuneful, controlled and natural. If I said “everything” you wouldn’t believe me, but the answer is not far off. They dramatically increase low level resolution so you can hear more detail, they clean up the bass like you wouldn’t believe and the improve dynamics and speed. Bass is tighter and the balance is better with the midrange and highs. Using a simple spectrum analyser shows this fine balance even when I play louder and louder. The stereo image is deeper, with improved definition and I have not experienced a loss of dynamics. Richard, I heard Frederica Von Stade sing from both Chants d'Auveregne and some Mahler at the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires last Thursday night. She still has a lovely voice. The Teatro Colon is really beautiful and has great acoustics. I will order Chants d'Auveregne, Vol. 1 today. Thanks, Vincent.
