  1. Found another thread talking about power supply so I'm good there. Anybody want to weigh in on using y-splitter out of DAC? I think it's fine to do but hoping for confirmation from someone with more knowledge than me. Thanks.
  2. Haven't heard the Emotiva but researched it before I bought the DacIT. I think the Emotiva has great features at its price point but I don't think it ever took off (accolades and sales) because the sound quality doesn't reach up into $1000 DAC territory. The Peachtree sound does and it does it for under $500. The other DAC that's worth looking at is Schiit Bifrost and recently saw a really good review of Rega DAC.
  3. Hi, all. I have a Peachtree DacIT that I've been using for a few months now. I had read somewhere (I think on CA) that the sound quality can get even better by upgrading the power supply. Has anyone done this or have recommendations on how I'd go about trying this? Also, I feed 2 systems off my preamp now -- one for speakers and one for headphones. My headphone amp has its own preamp so I'd like to pull the preamp out of my system and use a passive volume for my speaker amplifier (McCormack DNA-1). To do this, I need to split the signal coming out of my Peachtree DacIT. Can I just use a high quality y-splitter to achieve this or do I really need to run this through my preamp and split it there? Thanks.
