They do measurements and rank DACs accordingly. That's what they do. I don't think there is any hidden agenda there and plenty of valuable information whether you are a measurements first person or not.

I don't have enough 24/96 albums to test. I will note that with the Remedy in line streaming from my phone to Chromecast Audio using BubbleUPnP this 24/96 track plays perfectly with my Audio-GD REFERENCE 5 DAC . (The info pic is from Shuttle playback on the phone only to indicate bit rate)

Let's not underestimate of the importance of making a technology work across the industry such that it actually becomes both comprehensible and accessible to consumers.

Lusher sound than what? I see no advantage to the format over either streaming media (Tidal) or computer audio. Shoeboxes of never played again plastic clutter under my beds tell the tale.
