  1. Hi 650carlos, Perhaps you could try the Audirvana+beta as the player on your MB Pro. If you do select the Direct mode with Audirvana+, make sure your Weiss 202 control panel is set to 'Normal' Operation Mode (and not the 'lowest latency' mode). Also, if you're sitting the 202 on its built-in footers, try using a set of 3 well-made isolating footers under the DAC. I've tried Black-diamond racing cones and Magico Q-pods to good effects. Others like the Symposium Rollerblocks or the Finite-Elemente Cerabase may be worth trying. For power-cord, I use Shunyata's Anaconda CX. But the diameter of the connector is large and it rests on the FW connector. This may be of concern to you. YMMV Dan
  2. Try this method. Once you've added the songs you want into the playlist, quit Audirvana+. Then relaunch it again and hit play. No more dropouts for me:-)
  3. I tried 1.3.9.10 (direct mode) on my Weiss Dac 202 (set at lowest-latency operation mode thru the Weiss Firewire Control Panel). This was the same setting I used for ver 1.3.5. Immediately upon hitting play, I got terrible distortion from my Magico Q5. When I set the Dac 202 to normal mode operation, playback was without distortion. But i did notice a couple of random timing error over an approx 30 min of listeninig. Dan
  4. In my system, 1.3.9.8 & 1.3.9.9 sounded worse than 1.3.9.5. 1.3.9.5 had better base definition and overall more details. Dan
