  1. Thanks for the replies. Maximum kahuna; My souncard dosent have any sort of digital out so it would have to be USB to DAC, I have had a look at the Music Fidelity V-DAC II. I am looking into getting a new system in the near future and will use this setup until I get my head around what Im going to need and set a budget. I am quite new to this so still figuring out how it all fits together. Thanks.
  2. I have an old Harman\Kardon A401 control Amplifier from around (1978) and some equally old Rogers LS 3/5A speakers all in excellent condition. I would like to connect them to my computer is it possible? Will it damage my computer or the amplifier\speakers if I use my soundcards headphone socket and connect it to the amplifiers Aux input using a 3.5mm Jack to 2 x RCA cable? I am new to audio equipment so any advice would be great.
