  1. Some weeks back I bought an Matrix Audio element X music streamer/DAC/pre-amp/headphone amplifier, from a UK retailer/agent. Its app is supposed to be both Apple & Android compliant. You have to use the Matrix app to connect to your NAS drive, and in my case, that is a Synology DS212+. I have never been able to do this using my Android phone. My wife has a different model of Android phone, but of the same vintage, i.e, 30 months old. She gets the same response, "can't connect to network drive". The UK dealer has been very helpful and asked his network specilist to assist. He was also unable to find a solution. I then borrowed an old Iphone, went through exactly the same procedure and it worked immediately, connecting to my NAS and seeing my music library. I then opened the Matrix app on my Android phone, and (bizarrely IMO) it was able to see my NAS music library. The Matrix unit went back due to other faults and has had a replacement digital board inserted. This fixed the other problems, but the same network drive connection issue persisted when using my Android phone, and was only solved by once again using an Apple phone. Can anyone enlighten me as to what is going on?
  2. Many thanks. is the 2.8 card being made available through your UK dealer, or only direct via yourselves?
  3. Just tried to update my microrendu from 2.7 to 2.8, without appreciating I needed to buy a new card. Unfortunately after going through the updating & rebooting process, microrendu no longer shows in Mconnect as a Upnp device. Any suggestions? Thanks
  4. I've recently re-subscribed to Qobuz on a one month trial basis, but when I login via microrendu and Linn Kinsky I get "unable to load content". I have no issue accessing my Tidal account via the same method. Are you able to help? Many thanks
  5. Thanks. I'm using the MPD/DLNA renderer setting, as per Sonore's instructions. This allows me to access Tidal, which I can do with no problems. My understanding is that I do the same to access Qobuz, once I've entered password. This works but I cannot access any content, as per my original post.
  6. Just renewed/reinstated an old Qobuz account last night. When I try to access this via Kazoo in microrendu I get "unable to load content". Help!
  7. Thanks very much and yes the M/rendu is on 2.7. I am about to leave on a six week trip, so apologies in advance if I respond late to any further replies or updates..
  8. I am no longer able to access Tidal through my MicroRendu using Linn Kazoo. After selecting Tidal in the Kazoo app there is no option to enter my Tidal login & password. Instead it goes straight to a loading message with a spinning icon. I have uninstalled/installed Kazoo several times but the problem remains. Any ideas?

  10. I recently downloaded a hi-res file of Stanley Clarke's School Days from Quboz. In system 1, which uses a Squeezebox Touch, there are no issues playing the Album. When I try to play in system 2, using MicroRendu into Chord Qutest (using Orange Squeeze as a controller), it simply won't play. Never has this before. Any ideas?
  11. I like the video review, other than, IMO, the over use of "totally" which I don't think you use in your written reviews.
  12. On the Synology website they state: "Based on the Squeezebox Server requirement, it is suggested running Squeezebox Server on Synology DiskStations with RAM size of 256MB and above". Does anyone have experience in trying with a lesser 'beast'? My own DS411j offers just 128M. Thanks
  13. Chris So this is my first post and as someone who is trying to make sense of the various options and ways of listening to computer based music (well I am well into my late 50's) I have to admit this 'stuff' gives me a headache at times. Your comment above stated " The Synology units can run Logitech Media Server to serve music to a Squeezebox(s)" but my understanding from what's on the Synology website is that "Based on the Squeezebox Server requirement, it is suggested running Squeezebox Server on Synology DiskStations with RAM size of 256MB and above." If I have got this right the DS411j that I purchased last year would not be up to the job. Apologies if I have got this completely wrong. Ever thought about producing a Computer Audiophile Guide for Dummies? Thanks Dazed & Confused
