  1. In the program XLD when a flac folder is "verified" does this mean that it's a real rip from a CD as oppose to an mp3 that was just converted to flac (thus making the quality shit). I know the "verified" means that it's in some database of rips, but does this database make sure it's ripped off a real CD. Thanks
  2. Oh ok, think I got it. So this will assure me that the rip definitely came off of a CD, thus making it great quality.
  3. what's the AccurateRip in XLD??? Sometimes it says YES and sometimes NO?
  4. ok ONEEE MORE THING, promise. Does anyone know if there's a reason my artwork shows for 2 seconds then disappears for .wav files in iTunes??
  5. I tried to download it on my mac and when I opened its DMG it just gave me a bunch of weird files and folders that I was unable to open...like text documents and whatnot.
  6. Thanks for all the feedback, pretty helpful. Does anyone have a good FREE program that's compatible with mac that can transfer FLAC to .WAV?
  7. Ya...but it goes down in kbps...need someone to answer why if it's supposedly not losing quality.
  8. I am a new music producer, mainly Hip-Hop beats, and in order to compose these beats many times I will use samples from old songs. All of these songs I use are in FLAC format, however in order to be compatible with my hardware I must convert them to either .wav or .aiff. My dilemma is that I want to keep them in iTunes' "Apple Lossless" format and convert them to .wav when I'm ready to use them (in order to save space). So my question is as follows: If I convert FLAC to Apple Lossless, and then Apple Lossless to .WAV (when I'm ready to use them with hardware) is there any loss AT ALL (even the slightest) in sound quality? (for either of these conversions) I've noticed that when I convert my old AIFF files to Apple Lossless the kpbs goes down from 1411 to 836kbps... does this affect the actual quality of the music by compressing it, or since they're both lossless it doesn't matter. Pleaseee help, and I'm talking specific quality, not approximate. Thanks for your time.
