Hello
This is my first post, so be gentle.
I run an events company and have dabbled with Pro audio concert sound systems for the last 15 years. After settling down, had a couple of kids and finally manged to buy a flat. I have finally got round to my life long ambition of sorting out my sound system at home, this has been ticking over quite nicely, but I am keen to up-grade my DAC and I was hoping I could get some advice from the forum members.
My current modest set up is:
Mini mac - audirvanna - wav files
Hiface - Cambridge audio DAC magic
B+w 685 - rega brio3 amp
Vandam cables
I have a £500-600 ish budget, and have short listed the following DACs
Rega DAC, audiolab m-DAC and peach tree audio DAC it.
I love A-B testing and making choices based on what sounds best, but unfortunatly I can't find any dealers in London that stock all three DACs.
Any advice on which one to go for and why? The peach tree is on the cash list and what hifi seem to favour the audiolab and rega.
Thanks in advance for your help
