  1. Hi Mev, I've bought the musicbook 25 DSD about 2 months ago (with the CD player). This a a great device IMO. I was using a Belcanto DAC 3.7 with a Ulink previously. I have no regret ...at all... I'm using Qobuz and a Synology to stream music via ethernet. I've tried the USB which is great as well but since I start streaming / using a server, I've stop using it. I also use a Rowen RP-1 turntable with a preamp on the analog input. This is a real "swiss army knife", so easy to use. The sonic is perfect to my ears. DSD upsampling is great for classical/jazz but not necessarly good for rock music (as a general comment). App is fast, easy to understand. The only cons will be the ability to read the cover art. Most of the time covers show up but for few of them, no success (I've tried to add cover.jpg in the folder and other technics but without any success...). On top of that the remote is really nice and I'm happy to use it when I do not want to boot my tablet... Since two months, I never thought to upgrade it... Fred
  2. Hi Chris, Do you think that your CAPS could fit in a CD3t from Bel Canto? Do you think that BC would agree selling an empty CD3t case to put a CAPS in it and get a fancy CAPS? Regards
  3. I've recently tested in my system the Ulink and compare it to the DAC 1.5 USB input. 1. vs 2. and 3 vs. 4. 1. JRiver 17 in WASAPI Event, 16/44.1 wav files, from a notebook using wirewolrd UV USB cable to DAC 1.5 adaptativ USB input 2. JRiver 17 in WASAPI Event, 16/44.1 wav files, from a notebook using wirewolrd UV USB cable to Ulink and BNC using Cardas cable to DAC 1.5 input. 3. JRiver 17 in WASAPI Event, 16/44.1 wav file ripped from CD, from a notebook using wirewolrd UV USB cable to DAC 1.5adaptativ USB input 4. JRiver 17 in WASAPI Event, 24/192 flac file download from High Resolution Music DOWNLOAD services .:. FLAC in free TEST BENCH (same track), from a notebook using wirewolrd UV USB cable to Ulink and BNC using Cardas cable to DAC 1.5 input. No difference aside from slightly sweeter high frequencies. Did BC developp the Ulink for DAC 3.5? Did I already reach the DAC 1.5 limits on the USB input?
  4. Yes, perfectly. I would like to control JRiver on my PC (a netbook connected to my DAC via USB and therefore can not be moved!!!) with a remote (IR is not working even with the help of Jim H.). This remote could be a tablet/phone using android. The question is: is it possible to do it via bluetooth instead of WiFi? Do both Gizmo(tablet)/JRiver(PC) communicate via bluetooth?
  5. Hi James1776, Just a basic question, would it be possible to use an android based device (tablet/phone) to control JRiver via bluetooth instead of WiFi?
  6. I'm trying to use the devoted HP remote control for JRiver under W7 since few weeks (bought on JRiver). I've contacted JRiver and they tried hard to solve the problem without success (they are doing a great after sale job for their customer by the way). USBCIR is automtically installed when the tranceiver is plugged, HID as well. The remote is sending a signal since the tranceiver is blinking (JRiver even replaced the tranceiver/remote by a brand new one). But it is impossible to control JRiver. Does anyone of you already fought with his remote?
