  1. There seems to be no setting to change that. My library in Buffalo NAS shows correct order, and the same library in NetGear NAS shows incorrect (random) order. - masayk
  2. Just finished installing MuBox on my CuBox. Installation is simpler, faster, and with no extra efforts I was able to stream 44.1/96/192FLAC and 2.8DSD into DSD capable USBDAC (rasteme UDAC32RD - XMOS based USB Audio Class 2.0 compliant). - masayk
  3. unzip to get .img file and then copy to 4GB microSD on Linux environment ( or with DD for Windows). Login as root with password cubox. Instructions here (in Japanese only) CuBox
  4. I installed arch linux based image from http://www.symphonic-net.com/kubotayo/cgi-bin/downlogs.cgi?id=0B1V9ShHUc5NqSWZKbXQ4bTBuU3M and then connected to DSD capable USBDAC (Rasteme UDAC32RD) and it worked perfect for ANY type of formats including 44.1/16, 48/24, 96/24, and 192/24. What is outstanding is that it also plays bit perfect DSD 2.8 without any PCM converting. The beauty of this is that you do not need any manual operation to change from PCM to DSD. You just select whatever you want to play from your music library stored in your NAS and all the rest is 100% automatic. The sound quality is as better as any other types of comupter based audio (Voyage MPD, foobar2000, JRMC, you name it) - masayk
  5. One question on my OPPO BDP-93 setting - I do not seem to find "stream from PC" option in my network-foobar setting. I see "Playback Stream Capture" instead. Is this what it is? - masayk
  6. Exactly. Thank you for reminding me of this. I own both BDP-93 and BDP-103. Yes the key difference of the two models is (aside from DSD playbach) the DLNA renderer capability. Your workaournd with foobar/MinimServer might be the only solution for 93 to take advantage of DMC-like nagivation control without monitor. That would bring my almost retiring 93 back to my main system as it also has ISO playback capability (which you never had a chance with 103/105) :-) -masayk
  7. I set the sample rate in foobar UPnP server streaming profile. This is how I tried to stream DSD directly from foobar to OPPO 103 with the sample setting of 2822400/24bit but failed. It was a couple of months ago so no Minimserver settings. I think I am getting confused again - that I remember I could do the same thing without Minimserver and just foobar with local media library. What would be the specific value of adding MinimServer? I guess I am missing something. -masayk
  8. Thank you for detail instruction. Now I know how to set the Minim server under Foobar. I use Skifta on iPad instead of Bubble on Android but I believe DMC behavior around DSD playback remains the same. I was able to get my dff files under UPnP browser selection and when I choose to play my OPPO starts playing (PCM conversion with 88.2kHz) bleedink - I assume that this workaround is not intended for DSD bitstream playback on OPPO BDP-103/105 but for DSD playback (with PCM conversion by foobar) on OPPO BDP-93/95. -masayk
  9. Great summary. Strange that my case is NetGear NAS (ReadyNAS Duo v2) shows tracks in the incorrect order but Buffalo NAS (LS-X2.0TL) shows tracks in the correct order. Don't Know Why...
  10. That would be great. If I can setup this way I could bring my almost retiring BDP-93 back for DSD/PCM conversion in addition to precious ISO playback. Look forwarding to your guidance! masayk
  11. Umm.. I still cannot find such option in anywhere in foobar. Under network option I only see the following. Can you point out please? masayk
  12. Yes via HDMI. I was hoping that OPPO could accept DSD bitstream from foobar-pc. It did not. Then I tried foobar/Upnp solution via network and got strange 44.1kHz even though I selected HDMI2 and A/V split. Strange that when setting 88.2kHz (instead of 2.8224MHz) and 16bit then I get 88.2kHz, not 44.1kHz... masayk
  13. After series of attempts I concluded the same way - there is no way to push DSD stream to OPPO no matter what types of UPnP server, either via HDMI or via LAN. MinimServer did not work, JRMC did not work, and Foobar needs PCM conversion. So I stop here, giving up the idea of using my iPad for DSD playback navigation for Oppo (without Oppo screen navigation on my TV). Yes I could still playback DFF/DSF multichannel files without screen by some DMC (such as Skifta on iPad) controlling foobar on my PC, but again with PCM conversion... wait for the next Oppo firmware update. masayk
  14. >First thing is to install Minimserver on your Mac. Foobar 2000 should give you access to that library when you are setting up it's server. Select it. I am confused. What step do I need to have Miniserver work with Foobar 2000? Is there any configuration option in Foobar to do it? I assume the two apps run on the same machine - Win7 in my case. masayk
