  9. We want to apologize for the trouble you have had accessing the HDtracks store. There was an attempt to hack the site which caused the warning page to appear. The issue was very much contained and addressed immediately with the apparent vulnerability being only via our banner images. No customer info was compromised. This was a minor issue that was resolved safely and with due diligence by our IT team. We want to stress again that customer info was not compromised, content was not compromised. Credit card info is not stored on the site regardless. If you have any continued questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at [email protected]. If you are still seeing the warning when trying to access the site simply refreshing your browser should alleviate the issue.
  10. Dear Listeners, In regards to the Miles Davis Amandla 192/24 release, this particular release came from a “Flat Master Series” which is a flat transfer from the original analog tapes to digital, in this case directly from the Warner Bros, Reprise, Atlantic, and Rhino archives. This means no eq, no compression. Therefore the hump at 13k looks smaller due to the field spectrum being 12 times larger in the 192/24 file, not that an attempt was made to reduce it. With that being said, as for the validity of its resolution this is a true 192/24 file and HDtracks does everything possible to ensure so. Audiophiles may differ as to the charms of uncompressed files and of course whether or not you like the album itself is up for interpretation but please know that our goal is to simply make these great records available to you for download.
