  1. For me, every page load in Forums is ~4X slower than before, some pages are worse than that.
  2. Update March 5: I am also including an adapter that can terminate in USB-B, which is more common for DACs (see photo). Also lowering price to $310, buyer pays for shippiing.
  3. THE SUPERIOR STAGE THAT ALLOWS YOUR HI FI TO BREATHE In the same way as every musical performance needs a stage so a HiFi needs a stage to bring the music to life in your home. Building on the success of the Q4, the SVT performance HiFi rack was developed for larger HiFi systems and better sound performance. Curved columns help to further reduce resonance and vented shelves reduce mass and allow air to flow freely around your system. All our SVT shelves and columns are specially engineered to hold heavier and larger components whilst at the same time reducing mass and resonance as well as improving air circulation to deliver a clearer, cleaner musical performance. Each shelf is separated from the next by 8.5 in curved silver columns. Bottom legs include spikes. These are the beautiful solid bamboo shelves with the special grooving cut in underneath to minimize resonances. I am willing to ship, but would prefer a local pickup (North San Diego County) or could meet the buyer within 50 miles. $475 + buyer pays for shipping 31 lbs. See my excellent feedback on Audiogon (user name gnobber).
  4. USB Type A to mini USB. 0.75m length. Includes 72V DBS module to maintain cable dielectric, battery is in good shape. One of the top USB cables on the market, it added a richness to my system and smoothed out some sibilance while still maintaining detail. Includes factory box. $325 + buyer pays for shipping. See my excellent feedback on Audiogon (user name gnobber).
  5. Hello Richard, I was constantly asked to re-validate last night, and each time the response was Unknown Error. Never got past the validation step, even though my credentials were correct. I filed a ticket with Sonic Studio, have not heard back yet. Bill
  6. I tried to use IRC tonight and could not get anywhere, would not activate. Symphony itself works ok, but the IRC buttons don't do anything now.
  7. Paul Hynes SR3-12-s2 linear power supply. This is a 12V, 3A model. It comes with an umbilical cord that is 1M long, it has a 5.5x2.5mm cylindrical barrel plug termination. I have used this to power my exaSound e20 Mk3 DAC with great results. Hynes' power supplies are very well-regarded, and often have very long leadtimes when purchased as new. Check my excellent feedback on Audiogon (user name gnobber). Asking $349, buyer to pay shipping.
  8. Hi Richard, I am confused, the title of the thread that I see is amarra-irc-past-present-future-thread-renamed (i.e not Symphony specific). As Symphony and Standard might behave similarly, I am still interested in whether anyone that has had this problem (in Symphony) has been able to solve it. This might help me. thanks, Bill
  9. Regarding post #988 (IRCb filters don't actually make an audible change to the sound), has anyone had this problem and found a fix? I just upgraded from 3.02 to 3.03 over the weekend, and suddenly have had the problems mentioned- invalid license (Ralph reset my license), and now that I get IRCb to show up on screen, the filters don't seem to engage. I have contacted Amarra support and the latest idea was to go to Library/Application Support/Dirac/OEM and delete the OEM folder. This does not seem to help. I am on Mavericks 10.9.5, Amarra (not symphony) 3.03, build 4559. thanks, Bill
  10. Regarding IRC Measure, I just upgraded to 3.02 in the past few days. Using IRC Measure, the app crashes after I gather the 9 readings, look at the graph, and then try to view only the L or R channel. Lost all my data the first time. The second time (repeating measurements) I saved them, then tried to view the Left, and it crashed again. Fortunately the data was saved this time when I reopened the application.
  11. I have an E20 III that I run straight into my solid state amp (CJ Premier 350). I sold my preamp some time ago. I think the E20 is excellent, and don't miss the preamp and the additional cables it would involve.
  12. just wanted to leave positive feedback for Randy re the power supply transaction. Would definitely do business with him again. thanks, Bill
