Hi, I am looking for information about either USB DAC's or Firewire Dac's, my laptop has firewire HP 6710b which I never use , I only used USB output into my receiver to play digital music. I am sure that it could sound better. With current technology and keep in mind a budget to get the most out of my digital files, wav, flac at different resolutions. What is the best money can buy and which output source to use. USB or Firewire. Al my music is stored on harddrive albeit portable or over ethernet. My system so far is Denson Beat b-100 MKII, Sugden CD21 and B&W 703 speakers. What would be a suggestion for me to buy to enjoy my digital music more. Advice on cables would be very much appreciated too. Hope you can help me in the quest for getting the sound possible.
