  1. My issues is as follows. The data is leaving the source via USB, being converted to SPDIF by a M2Tech Hiface2, and going from the Hiface to the processor via coax (with a powered USB hub to help out the Hiface). The total distance is 10 feet and, given the constraints associated with my se-up (seagate wireless plus to ipad mini to apple CCK to USB in an automobile with trunk mounted processor), one cable is going to be about 9 feet and the other cable is going to be about 1 foot. Question: Assuming that good quality cables will be used, am I better off with a long coax cable or a long USB cable? Thanks.
  2. It seems like you are looking for speakers only, but here is my 2 cents ... After spending a small fortune on a home setup, which now is used primarily by my children while watching Nickelodeon TV shows (SpongeBob sounds great on my B&W's), I decided to upgrade the sound system in the location where I actually listen to music .... in front of the computer in my office. I did a fair amount of research on dacs, amps and speakers suitable for a desktop, and then I picked up the the CEntrance Audiophile Desktop, which consists of the CEntrance DACmini PX dac/amp and a pair MasterClass 2504 speakers ($2K total). The PX is connected to Vista machine, running Media Jukebox 14, with the equalizer is set to the pre-configured “Rock” setting. I added speaker stands (Audioengine DS2 stands). I've been using it for almost 2 months and couldn't be happier.
