thanks everyone for the help. looks like the instruction in the calibration link is what i am looking for but I will need to buy a voltmeter for that. Is it recommended to stick to 0.2 VAC in the RCA or it is advised to raise it a little probably or lower it to minimize jitter effect or more resolution?

I bought a used benchmark dac1(original non-usb). I am setting it at calibrated but I am not sure what is the default setting of the screws in the back to get equal level on L and R. I played with it a little and I did not notice clear difference. when I turn the screws using screw driver it does not seem to be a start or end limits it just moves in both directions for several cycles without end. will this affect both balanced and non-balanced outputs? and how to insure it is set to equal level on L and R channels? thanks
