  1. The Mytek Stereo 192 DSD DAC will be available June 30th. http://www.mytekdigital.com/dealers/mytek_price_list.pdf
  2. http://www.computeraudiophile.com/content/Rip-DVD-Mac
  3. There will be soon the Mytek Stereo 192 DAC that will be able to decode DSD through USB.
  4. I know... but they are from the website of Eastern Electric: http://eeaudio.com/eeaudio_20102.htm
  5. There is also a dithyrambic review about the Minimax DAC on Stereomojo. http://www.stereomojo.com/Eastern%20Electric%20MiniMax%20DAC%20Review/EasternElectricMiniMaxDACReview.htm However, the fact that I cannot listen to it before buying nor can return the unit is a big brake for me. Moreover, the output impedances of the DAC (tube 22K and SS 10K) are very high, so it is a no-go for me.
  6. DSD files are not recognized by iTunes, nor other mainstream audio player to my knowledge.
  7. I am waiting for this DAC since late 2009, which was the moment when it was supposed to be available... It is very interesting. I have tried to know if the USB input will work asynchronously or not, but the company has not answered to my emails up to now. Here is an image of the DAC: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pzmgXL32-VM/TGeLnHslnNI/AAAAAAAAAn0/3bkFfbsm0W8/s1600/mytek-dsd+dac.jpg
  8. Hello Stian, I would like you to post your impressions about the ULN-8 compared to the FF Sabre DAC. Especially if you find the Sabre DAC better - and if yes, in what ways. BTW I don't say it will be the case... But I find that always peculiar when everybody praise one product, without even one discordant voice... I have tried lately the Rosetta, the Lynx Aurora 8, the Prism Orpheus and even if I have liked some aspects of their DACs, I always find them lacking some dynamics and liveliness. I haven't tried the Weiss DAC2 at home, but what I have heard elsewhere pleased me. Looking to hear also the future Wyred4Sound DAC-1.
  9. Joyeux Anniversaire !<br /> <br /> And good luck for your future projects<br /> Celloman from Quebec
  10. I have listen to a Mac Mini connected by optical to a PAs Audio DAC Link III and it was a lot "thinner" than with the USB hub-TrendsAudio-coax-PS Audio DAC.
  11. Hello Chris,<br /> <br /> A friend and me have made the same observation with the PS Audio DAC Link III - e.g. computer --> USB hub --> USB cable --> USB input of the PS Audio DAC. The USB input in that configuration changes the sound a lot.<br /> <br /> And sorry - It is not a Belkin USB hub, but a Dr.Bott Model No T3Hub:<br /> <br /> http://www.drbott.com/images/lg/3115-THSS.jpg<br /> <br /> I have the original T3Hub 1.0, not the T3Hub 2.0.
  12. Hello,<br /> <br /> First post for me.<br /> I have made in the past an experiment with the Trends Audio UD10 that changes its performance for the better. I have used a USB hub (with 3 USB port, from Belkin) plugged in my MacBook, into which I have plugged the USB cable connected to the Trends Audio UD10. The USB hub helps in isolating the Trends Audio from the computer. Result: less noise, more resolution, more alive, and a larger and more profound soundstage.
