  1. I just started the 14 days trial period. At the moment i use iTunes and pure music to organize and play my music on a mac mini. So i installed roon server on the Mac mini and roon control on my ipad and Macbook Air. Since roon says it won't change the original files i just imported the music folder from my synology nas. It took around 1 hour to import over 45000 files. Now i have one question. How can i check that everything was correctly imported? Does roon create a log file somewhere? I can't just compare the number of the files since i store additional files (jpg, pdf) inside the album folders on the nas.
  2. Tried this with my Pioneer BDP-LX88 and it's not working. Looks as if it's not reading the USB Stick correctly. I can't open a telnet connection and the drawer won't open. Tried both downloads with the different AutoScript files.
  3. Forgot to write, the SE will replace the normal DP-777. I wanted to audition a DP-777 but the german distributor told me that it`s not available anymore. So i`m waiting for the SE to arrive.
  4. Here in germany the DP-777SE should be available in december. Price will be around 4400 euros. A normal DP-777 is 500 euros less. These infos are from the german distributor.
  5. To be honest, since i don't care about DSD this was no feature i was looking for. It's coincidence that 3 of the 4 DACs are able to do DSD. I choose the Ayre because i have a Ayre amp, the Meitner because of the programmable FPGA, a dealer had the Wadia for demo and the Vega had some great reviews. There are still other DACs i will test and some of them only do 24/192. I want analog sound, maybe that's the reason why i didn't like the Vega very much. For me it's to analytic, cold with no real feeling for the music. But everyone has a differnt taste. Looks like Exasound sells directly from Canada. That's a no-go. I'm near Aachen.
  6. I'm also looking for a new DAC and the Meitner is at the top end of the budget i would spend. Until now i heard the MA-1, Auralic Vega, Wadia 321 and Ayre QB-9DSD. For now my ranking is: 1. MA-1 2. Ayre QB-9DSD 3. Wadia 321 4. Auralic Vega From these four the Meitner is the best but i don't know if the small advantage justifies the price. Here in germany the Ayre is only half the price of the MA-1. At the end i think it's all a matter of personal taste and which components you have.
  7. At the moment most of the buyers, dealers and manufactures in europe don't care about DSD because the content is almost non existable. Simple CD or blu-ray players still outsell streamers or seperate dacs. The companies you mentioned are rather unknown to the public and sell their products on a niche market. Even here in germany most of the people don't know companies like Lindemann. And for his top model Lindemann even dropped SACD support because he thinks CD sounds better with it. NAD was always known for simple and cheap products. This is the stuff that sells and makes money. So why should they care about DSD? They don't need the 2 or 3 persons that won't buy their stuff because of missing DSD support. And this stupid EISA awards are only awarded by some magazines. They have nothing to do with sold components.
  8. You can still get this. It's now La Rosita. La Rosita Very nice stuff. They also have a iTunes Plug-In so that you can play files with 24/192 over Airplay.
  9. I have the SACD SA-CD.net - Elton John: Tumbleweed Connection and like it very much. Since they used the same transfer to create the DSD file, it should sound great.
  10. At the moment i still can use my Young DAC since i didn't update my Mac Mini to Mavericks. I only use it as a music server. But i won't buy anything from M2tech again because i can't stand companies with bad end user support. My next DAC or USB Interface will be a model that doesn't need a driver under OSX.
  11. This one: Jethro Tull | Benefit 2CD+DVD Collector’s Edition
  12. Why do you think that the 2010 isn't fast enough anymore? There is no advantage if you buy a Mini Server. I would go for the smallest Mini with [email protected], 4GB Ram and the 500Gb HDD. Get two 8GB Ram modules and the SSD somewhere else since the upgrades from apple are very expensive.
  13. The remix of the Benefit album by Steven Wilson is great too.
  14. Title 10 is the complete album as a rough mix. You can see this when you play the title with DVDAE. Title 11 should be the needle-drop. But you only see the tracks when you play it with DVDAE.
