  1. Thank you all for your comments. You have given me tons to research and think about.I've already talked to my dealer about MSB technologies. Very strong contender for me. I have a pretty good gaming computer that sits in the same room as the system. It has;EvgaX-58 motherboard,[email protected],12gb's-1600mHz ram,2raptor hard drives, Auzentech Prelude sound card, 2 GTX-580 video cards, GTX 520 card for PhsyX,Window7-64,and a 1200 watt power supply. I've never thought about using it to play music mainly because its fairly loud. But I think I'm going to put JRiver on it, and start doing some comparisons.
  2. Thanks for the replys. In response to the first post I should say that my only reason to use a computer as a source is sound quality. From what I can tell about the Meitner MA-1, I still will get the computer sound upgrade by simply putting a single disc into the transport, and playing it like a cd player, as opposed to putting my collection on drives. Maybe someone could clarify that. The rest of my system is fairly high end also. I'm using the Krell Evolution one and two pre and power units. My speakers are Tannoy Churchills, with custom crossovers. The design is factory, I built new units with all Duelund components in the signal path, and correction parts with parts better than factory. I have stereo subs in custom sand filled enclosures I built. Actually,I built my main enclosures also. I'm running the subs in a isobaric setup. I'm very happy with this setup, sounds great, but if the computer can sound better, I'm in.
  3. Hi everyone, My first post. I have a Krell EV525a cd player, and I really want to get into using a computer as a source component. I will get the Meitner converter. Will using the computer as a source sound better than my Krell. Thanks for any help on this.
