I am trying to configure my new 2.0 system and I want to use hardware that I currently own. Will I run into noise problems if I run usb from my HD to computer and then another usb to a Peachtree Grand Pre. I am trying to use a 5yr old laptop and a 1tb HP HD. HD only offers usb3.0. Planning to run JRiver and iTunes and thats it.
The Grand Pre feeds an Emotiva XPA-2 with Totem Rainmakers at this point.
I was having trouble trying to narrow down responses in the search to answer this question. Not very computer savy but willing to learn.
