Is there anyone using this DAC via firewire on windows 8(64-bit)? I just upgrade my OS, and I find something unusual. The DPC Latency is very high, never under 1000 us, usually between 1000~1200 us. But when I use on windows 7(also 64-bit), it never goes over 50 us. So, I must enlarge the buffer size(> 256,in firewire control panel) to avoid disturbing noise(no matter playing PCM or DSD). Does someone have the same problem? or should Mytek release the newer firewire driver?

If you still struggle setting remote controller failure,here is a easier way. Find your universal remote controller manual and find Philips setting code,then try it one by one,you will find one code can be used. The DAC manual about remote setting is too.......professional.

Can someone convince me that cutting wire is necessary? Because I really feel uncomfortable with this.I have tried updating the new firmware without cutting wire and the DSD channel reversed issue solve very significant.So, I don't realize why I MUST cut something in my DAC. If I really do so, it can not reversible.Or someone can show the picture that the DAC sell in 2012 with new firmware is already cut the wire.
