Hi, Can anyone help?
I’m trying to decide between two upgrades offered by two separate companies for a squeezebox touch. Audiocom level 2 + dedicated power supply and Fidelity Audio level 2 + dedicated power supply. I already own a good CD player and though the squeezebox sound happens to improve a little when conected to the cd players DAC (Wolfson 24/192 DACs in Dual Differential configuration) soundwise it still happens to fall notably short when comparied with the same CD player when playing CD's.
The Squeezebox cables comprise of an optical to the CD players DAC and a USB from a HDD that stores the FLAC files. Both cables are of good quality.
I’ve already searched for reviews and it appears that nobody has actually compared the two upgrades. I have also tried to compare the components side by side that each of the companies offer. However my nonexistent knowledge regarding electronics and computer hardware makes it impossible for me to understand the specifications I’ve found.
Looking at the components each company use can anyone highlight for me any advantages either of the two upgrades have to offer over the other (bearing in mind I have no knowledge base please)
Many Thanks
