  1. Technology has made it possible for Artists to bypass the RIAA, which is in fact happening in a fledgling way already. If the Recording Industry insists on selling buggy whips, they will wither and die.
  2. The recent trend to decent consumer headphones and their use by young people is a positive move to better quality audio. There's a market for good audio - actually a lot of us just want to get it back. Not that I want anything to do with vinyl again...
  3. That's the problem with the Recording Industry - they are obsessed with maintaining their copyrights and privileges while failing to keep up with a rapidly changing world. There are lots of people willing to pay a reasonable fee for content, but are frustrated by the lack of availability, quality, and affordability. So workarounds are found (piracy), and the Industry responds by attacking the symptoms, not the cause.
  4. The AC power supply (wall-wart) is making a high pitched buzz on my DM+. I'm thinking an old Dell brick would make a decent substitute.
