  1. There is now an option in Settings > General > Allow for more covers and photos, that will decrease the size of the album art, thus allowing for more albums per row. Though the choice is good, the implementation isn't. With that on, artwork is too small, and the text below too clunky, so I just use the default (larger) setting. Most apps allow folks to resize the album art at will, but alas, not Roon.

@MemoryPlayerI believe you need to select DoP under "SDM Pack", in the Device section (NOT in Input Device, like it is now).

I understand. I just want the sound to stop once I've made the changes and hit "OK" on the Preferences pane, and *NOT* when I simply open the Preferences pane.

I use Roon. But if you don't want to do it, or if it's too much trouble, forget it. alex
  5. Sort of. This "identifying number" is called "checksum", and each CD, once ripped, should generate the same "checksums" (one for each track). So basically the software just needs to calculate this "checksum", and match it against the online databases.

Is there another way to change the filter/shaper then? That's what I'd be using it for... And it's annoying that the music stops while I pick a different filter to play with...

@Miska, may I request a "feature"? Perhaps there's a valid reason for it, but could you make it so the music doesn't stop when I open the Preferences pane? Thanks :)
  8. That's a pretty straightforward app. To start, I suggest you just drag a folder with ONE album in the Metadatics window or icon. Then you can edit the information on the side pane, and once you're done, just hit Save (Command+S). If you have specific questions, perhaps we'd be able to better help you there.
  9. Cool... Roon sometimes doesn't identify an album automatically, but if you try to ask it to identify (by clicking on "Unidentified", and "Identify Album"), it'll locate the album right up, or at least a version of it.
  10. So the Innuos' ripping process didn't pick up any metadata, and neither did Roon... That's kinda rare, but it does happen... I suggest that when you rip CDs, make a note of the timestamp for each CD ripped, so you can go back later and manually add the metadata for the CDs that the Innuos and Roon couldn't identify on their own. If you have a Mac, I suggest the app Metadatics to edit the files' metadata.
  11. Hi, Just want to make sure I understood this... So you're saying that for a Raspberry Pi setup, only running squeezelite, it's best to avoid the "extreme" configuration options in Audiolinux, like Realtime Priority and Boot mode? Thanks, Alex
  12. Jon, I think the important thing to have in mind is PRICE. If you price your albums at $25 or higher, like most sites do, it will simply become harder for the impulse purchasers. Make it $10 or so, and, on a proper site with audio clips (like Bandcamp), and you're all set. Oh, BTW, you should look into Bandcamp. Don't think they support DSD downloads, though. alexandre
  13. Still prefer the DSD/SACD of the same album over the HD Tracks 24/96, BUT, that said, they did a good job on this one. I can actually listen to "Never Say Die!" now in digital, while that one was simply too bright for confort before... alexandre
  14. Mr. Levinson, Do you plan to have a downloadable trial version of your software, along with the "before" and "after" files? I'd love to test it in my system, but 600 CHF is too steep for a curiosity at this point... It will take a few days of evaluation to determine whether it's worth it. And, it might as well be, but I'll only know it if I'm able to download it and try. Thanks, Alexandre
  15. Hi, I'd like to give JRiver a try, but it simply has too many options. What's a good setup, for an MSB DAC IV (DSD/DoP capable)? Thanks! alexandre
