  1. Hi all, I'm more or less a newbie at CA. I've had long (and frustrating) discussions with my Hifi dealer in Stockholm regarding computer based audio. He is absolute certain that CDPs will offer superior sound compared to computer based. A few years ago, I went from Naim traditional Hifi to Linn Digital streamer (Akkurate). However, I wasn’t really happy with the Linn sound so switched to Boulder 1021 with the upgraded streamer capacity. The problem with Boulder is that it relies on the Plugplayer app as streamer remote. PP isn’t really working that well, especially with Boulder. So now I hope that Weiss is the answer to my audiophile demands/dreams. The DAC202 sounds truly excellent and apparently, the MAN 301 comes with a built in DAC202 (optional) and also a server function. So the question is (which no one will be able to answer since the MAN isn’t out there yet…but we can always speculate!): is the MAN301 superior to the DAC202/Mac system? MAN301 pros - Convenient (the server is build in + ripping facility) MAN301 cons - Expensive server function (compared to Mac) - Inflexible? - Completely relies on the Weiss app for control The MAN301 will probably be out on the market within a few months so I guess we’ll know for sure then. But for now, any thoughts? Will MAN301 offer superior audiophile qualities compared to DAC202/Mac? Cheers Henrik
