  1. Thanks for the update, for the last 10 years I've been using a desktop for my hifi listening but with passive bookshelves like Audience Ones, Mini Maggies and my latest the Mark Sota Cesti MB with a combination of amps from PS audio and LTA, but this year i decided to simplify my set up with active speakers, i considered going KEFs but after hearing so many stories of poor customer service, now i am considering getting the iN-5 or Vanatoo speakers. I was concerned about the size of the IN5 but my set up is similar like yours so i think i can fit them. Thanks for the plug to @mitchco I just contacted him for my HD8XX and ZMF Verite Open.
  2. Josh your headphones reviews are the most detailed and well written reviews out there. I bought the Verite Open thanks in big part to your review and I am really happy with them. I am sure people looking for a super 650, finally will have their prayers answered. Great job
  3. All i can say is wow just wow, probably one of the best immersive audio set ups in the world. You should seriously consider doing tours of your system. Lot of us would be happy to pay to listen to a system like that.
  4. Thanks for the article, I have a modest atmos system with Emotiva speakers and marantz receiver and I also been enjoying Dolby Atmos music releases more than ever. I used to listen to the occasional SACD but honestly the convenience of Apple music is really making it easier. Probably for another thread but been frustrated with Tidal App on apple TV, the atmos mixes are at least 10db lower than regular tracks, I really have to crank the volume on those. For for now i am prefer Apple for atmos music.
  5. I have a HT system in addition to my stereo desktop, its great that you are looking into atmos. I am curious on the best ways to use this capability. Looking forward your updates.
  6. Hello, just recently connected a Schiit Bitfrost 2 DAC to my MAC. Just noticed that Tidal does not want to remember the Exclusive Mode and Force volume setting. Not a big deal, but I never had this issue before. Not sure if its a Tidal, MAC, or Bitfrost issue. Thanks
  7. Have anybody tried leaving their midi at 24/96 or 24/192 - is there a significant sound difference when playing just redbook tracks. I know purists dont like that, but i would like to know if its really that bad. By the way i listen with my old IMAC 2013 so I am out of luck to try the new apple music on my mac. I guess an excuse to buy a new computer. For now i guess i will still use Tidal.
  8. View Classified Linear Tube Audio Z-10 integrated amp For sale is an LTA Z-10 integrated tube amp modified by LTA with external supply to maximize headphone listening. About 6 months old. Seller maelob Date 05/22/21 Price 4,000.00 USD Category Amplifiers
  9. Thanks for the review, While i like the simplicity of powered speakers, in my case, my bedroom desk is my man cave and the only place where i can listen to music, so i went all out with separates 😉 to enjoy headphones and passive speakers. Since 2012 Ive used Mini Maggies, Audience the One, ATC SCM-7 and my current are Mark Sota Cesti MB. Agree with you 100% on needed non fatiguing speakers for near field. For me thats a must. Another popular option on the passive side are the Herbeth P3ESR.
  10. ATC SCM7 MK3 View Classified Great condition pair of ATC SCM7 Cherry wood just over a year old. Lightly used in a desktop set up. Original packaging and manuals included. Seller maelob Date 07/02/20 Price 1,000.00 USD Category Speakers
  11. I just pulled the trigger on the Verite open to compliment my Sony Z1R and Aeon2C. can't wait
  12. Great all rounder DAC - If you are looking for a great Pre-amp that also serve as a DAC and headphone amp this should be in your list. I think the sound of the DAC is very neutral but I am no expert. The headphones amp drives my Senn 58X, Sony Z1R and Aeon2C with plenty of power. I am really satisfied, sure there are probably better DACs and headphone amps but to be honest, one of the reasons I bought it was the great customer service and knowing that you will be taking care off if something ever happens to the DAC. I feel like part of a family with this company. For prospective buyers, do not buy at full price, PS audio offers full MSRP on any trade ins up to 30 percent of the new item, no question ask. Great deal.
  13. wow just wow, love the detailed comparison and just telling the reader the differences in particular songs. On of the best reviews Ive read in a while. Great job.
  14. Thanks for posting, I am looking an open headphone for classical and these ones seem like a good candidate. will do more research on them.
