  1. twluke, Have you tried shutting the DAC off and unplugging it for a few seconds?
  2. Been using Windows 8 Pro 64bit for a couple months and have had no issues with Mytek USB2 drivers. I expect issues may vary given different components and configurations.
  3. Ted_b....Before I order XLR Female to RCA cables, so that I can use RCA and XLR outputs simultaneously, is there anything special to consider concerning termination. Is the output of the Mytek differential? Thanks.
  4. "A1: For the moment only PCM inputs on SPDIF/Toslink/AES can be routed as inputs to computer on FW only." Can anyone explain how this "routing" works? Thanks.
  5. To clarify, I assumed ASIO: foo_dsd_ asio was already selected as the Output device. Point three to select DSD Playback Method.
  6. synfreak - When I double click on foo_dsd_asio (ASIO driver selection), the pop-up allows me to select the ASIO Driver which is "Mytek STEREO192-DSD DAC ASIO".
  7. Try this: 1.Set USBPAL Control Panel to 44.100kHZ 2.Tools>SACD>ASIO Driver Mode>DSD 3. ASIO Driver>Mytek STEREO192-DSD DAC ASIO DSD Playback Method>ASIO Native Play DSD file.
  8. I registered foo_dsd_asio.dll only on my 32 bit system and everything seems to be working fine. I assume you would only need to register foo_dsd_asio_x64.dll on a 64 bit system, but I could be wrong. Just make sure you don't have the .dll in the component folder. Yes, I also have the .dll registered to the same folder where foobar2000 .exe is located. Good luck.
  9. pjomaestro - In order for the foo_dsd_asio.dll to load, the .dll must be registered to the foobar root folder, not the components folder. For instance: C:Program Filesfoobar2000. (or Program Files(x86)foobar2000 if you have a 64 bit operating system and the foobar folder is installed therein) If you have a 64 bit operating system you would need to register foo_dsd_asio_x64.dll. If you've done all that and the .dll isn't loading, you might have to unregister the .dll first before re-registering the .dll in the proper folder. That's my understanding based on the advice others have given above?
  10. pjomaestro>Looking in your components window, I noticed you have an older ASIO support component. That is: Version 1.2.7. Install the latest version 2.1.1, and you'll be a step closer to seeing what others are seeing under the Output tab. I had the same problem. http://www.foobar2000.org/components
  11. valenroy, After upgrading firmware, I hear "loud popping noises" switching from DSD to PCM. However, I also hear a quieter static sounding pop switching from DSD to PCM? Foobar output set at ASIO:foo_dsd_asio DSD Playback Method in ASIO Native
  12. valenroy, Ah...So with the latest firmware upgrade, DSD Playback Method can be changed to ASIO Native? Thank you.
  13. valenroy, I haven't installed the latest firmware yet, but in my system foobar will switch from a PCM track at any sample rate to DSD64 without any noise. The Mytek DAC display accordingly switches from PCM to DSD. Foobar output set at ASIO:foo_dsd_asio SACD switch in DSD Mode I, too, would like to thank everyone involved in this project.
  14. Voila! It's working. Even though I had updated to the latest foobar version a while ago, the ASIO component was an earlier version. That is why I was seeing the "ASIO Virtual Device Editor" as a configuration tool. Sounds great (DSD64 5645kbps/2822400Hz). Thank you!
