  1. Hi, I am looking at setting up a new system which integrates digital music, my htpc setup in the living room, and a stereo setup in the bedroom. Currently have: -Zotac Mag running Windows 7 Ult and XBMC - still got a few bugs to work out here, but will be my primary player for TV shows/Movies. -Denon 1611 AVR -Cheapo hdtv -5.1 of Older cerwins that work great for ht use -Windows 7 Laptop, may be upgraded to an ivy bridge MBP Looking to buy: -Synology DS411 or DS1511+ - once hard drive prices come back to earth after all the flooding. The 1511 is double the price but allows expandability - thoughts here? Will be storing a lot of seasons of TV/Movies and of course Music on this server -Sonos Connect -Ipad/Cheap droid tablet/etc as controller for Sonos - if the Sonos app for android ever gets fixed to run like the ipad -Emotiva XDA-1 -Emotiva XPA-2 amp -Magnepan MMG Ok so the plan is to use the Synology as a server for tv/movies/backups and in our case the main music server. The sonos will be hooked up wired by ethernet right in the living room. I can run music in the living room either through xbmc or through the sonos app as the sonos will be connected analog to the receiver. Additionally, I will run a digital coax to the bedroom and that will connect the sonos to the XDA-1/XPA-2/MMGs. When I am in my bedroom I will listen to music via sonos app. If I am in my bedroom the ht stuff will be turned off, if I am in the living room the bedroom gear will be off. I have mostly Mp3s and some FLAC, after listening to some of my music through a roommates USP-1/(2)UPA-1/MMGs I have decided even with the MP3s it is still going to be awesome. Questions: 1. Is this even remotely feasible? Will the Sonos connect let me have two different outputs run simultaneously? 2. Are there other options suggested here besides the sonos or other components? 3. Any thoughts in general are appreciated.
