  1. So now I'm certain this is a Win7, rDAC issue. I took my Macbook created a Virtual Win7 machine via VM fusion and sure enough the popping and static return. Close the Win7 VM, fire up itunes and no static/popping. Anyone else using an rDAC with Win7?
  2. Haven't tried those options, not sure where or how to set them. Any suggestions or good links would be appreciated.
  3. Hi, Hoping someone could help here, replacing a Dacmagic with an rDac hooked up via a USB on a Win7 machine. With the rDAC connected I'm hearing various loud audible pops and static being emitted from my speakers when the computer starts up, when starting to play an audio file via MOG, when starting Zune software, when adjusting the volume via the speakers icon in the system tray and sometimes when tracks are playing. None of these sounds were heard with the Dacmagic via USB. I did try replacing the usb cable, interconnects, switching to a different USB port, using with and without a powered usb hub and updated Win7 USB drivers. None of these steps solved the problem. I also tried plugging the rDAC into a different isolated outlet, same result. Now what's also interesting here is that I connected the rDAC to a Lenovo Win7 laptop and was able to reproduce the problem. I then tried a Macbook Pro and no popping or static. This leads me to believe the problem maybe with the rDAC and Win7. However cannot find anything to back that up. Also I know it's not the rDAC because I exchanged the orginal one I had and the new one does the same thing. Unfortunately Arcam suport has been unresponsive with 2 emails and a phone message (very disappointed in Arcam support). The bigger problem here is that when I can listen to music for a few minutes I love the sound. For my setup, it's so much better than the Dacmagic. Anyone have any suggestions? Any other DACs that have the rDAC sound I should consider if I can't get this resolved? Thanks in advance.
