  1. Thanks for putting the time into this Jussi. Now, how to pass the information on..... Ray
  2. Let me say up front that I am not entering the debate about whether the Sonore device's pricing but I have to say that you're push back about the Regen hasn't been thought through. The Regen sells as a retail product in it's own right for $170 but that doesn't mean that $170 of the value of the Sonore can be attributed to it; it's likely that the cost of adding Regen type functionality to the Sonore is probably just a couple of tens of $.
  3. Cheers Jussi. It would be grand if we could get to an NAA/Botic combo build/distro/image for the Beaglebone Black; outputing I2S/DSD streams straight from the header pins of the network device instead of over USB would be so neat. Ray
  4. Hi Jussi, here's a link to miero's Botic kernel patches; https://github.com/miero/linux-dev Ray
  5. I've posted a question for miero, but in the meantime, is this what you're looking for? Index of /dists/wheezy/main/source Ray
  6. I tried my setup by configuring the BBB to only use it's internal Clock and it still worked with PCM material - behaviour seemed unchanged, though I didn't spend too much time on it as work beckons. I also tried using your BBB stretch image and while the computer was clearly up and running (visible via router) there was no NAA service available - maybe the issue of networkaudiod not starting up? As the logins on the image are disabled I wasn't able to investigate further. I will ask miero about the kernel patch location and get back to you. Ray
  7. Although I'm using a separate isolator/reclocker that provides clocking to the BBB it is possible to run the BBB/Botic with just the BBB clock. I will try that later to see if it will still work the way I have it currently. There is information about configuring the Botic driver here; http://bbb.ieero.com/index4.shtml To apply Botic to his Jessie based build, these are the instructions that Stino posted; http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f22-networking-networked-audio-and-streaming/hqplayers-network-audio-adapter-13892/index49.html#post510896 which will point you at the Botic patch. Thanks again Ray
  8. Do you have a beaglebone black available, and an 8Gb SD card? Stino has his Botic-NAA image available on his Google storage, which is all I used to get this far. Ray
  9. Hi Miska, here are screengrabs of networkaudiod output... Thanks for your assistance Ray
  10. I've been following Stino's lead and have used his Botic/NAA image on my Beaglebone Black, which sits in front of my TPA Buffalo IIIse/Legato based DAC. I'm glad to report a partial success; I've just been listening to very nice PCM replay through my headphones (44.1KHz upsampled to 176.4KHz via HQPlayer). The negative is that DSD refuses to play ball, it just errors immediately. I've attached the HQPlayer log file as an attachment. I'm hoping that this is resolvable and someone will give me a steer... Because Muso take up is quite low I think you'll get this with any of its releases. The only way I could download and install it was to turn off Norton for the duration - a calculated risk and I wouldn't do it for a lot of stuff.

I have Norton too. Muso still works fine though despite Norton telling me the same thing. Ray

Because I am human and make mistakes - simples. I'll try to remember to run things by you first in future.

Yes. I was thinking that reverting to the 40KHz -3dB point I was using previously would be a good thing to do. Ray
