Article: HARMAN Acquires Roon
Dr Tone replied to The Computer Audiophile's topic in Article Comments
Roon life timer. I haven't really used it years, just applying the updates. Apple Music integration will never happen, after Apple Music offered lossless I've been pretty much using it exclusively to listen to new stuff. -
And the last few generations analog input were probably doing A/D conversion on that analog input anyway to none the wiser owner.

Audiophilestyle does not delete accounts upon request

You do realize these tunnels are now a built in privacy feature of iOS and macOS and are as simple to use as hitting a toggle button. It’s not something you ban in this day and age unless you eventually want to lose members and new subscribers. -
What system would you buy if you had unlimited resources.?
Dr Tone replied to sphinxsix's topic in General Forum
I'd upgrade to the new C1200 preamp from McIntosh and then wait and move up to the next generation Yvette's from WA. I'd also take a look at DAC's and probably try out the top end Holo Audio May. Lastly I would consider upgrading my mono blocks after upgrading the speakers. -
No difference than higher bit depth and sample rate content, control and licensing $.

Apple music has a web player. FWIW -
I would go with near field studio monitors. You will get great stereo imaging and sound quality at volume levels that doesn’t annoy the neighbors. .02

I published music on Tidal to test MQA - MQA Deep Dive
Dr Tone replied to GoldenOne's topic in General Forum
The delusion is strong in this one. -
MQA is encoded into PCM, which is then put into binary compressed FLAC container.
