1. Jesus: I am having a custom pre-amp built (Luminous Audio Axiom II - XLR version) and I need to know the output voltage of my source components, which will be the micro rendu Thus, what is the output voltage of the micro rendu? Thank you very much for your assistance, Greg
 2. Jesus: I have the following equipment and want to know if this hard drive tower will work via USB to the router, then to the microrendu, or if I need to buy a Network Attached Server to connect to router via ethernet. Current setup: Asus laptop Sans Digital TowerRAID TR5UT+B with 5 4TB Western Digital Red hard drives - Output via USB 2.0 or eSATA (since I have laptop, I use USB) - Tower used as JBOD connected via USB 2.0 to Laptop, which is connected via USB to Regen then to Cambridge Audio CXA80 (built in DAC) This is the router I have for internet: ARRIS TG862G WiFi Telephony Cable Modem Docsis 3.0 router - High Speed Internet via 4 ports 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet (RJ-45) - Support for a single USB 2.0 Targeted Embedded Host port, powererd - All ports Auto-negotiation, auto speed sensing and Auto MDI/X - 2 lines of Carrier Grade Voice Would it work for me to connect my hard drive tower via USB to the router's USB 2.0 host port and then connect the router to the microrendu via ethernet? Or do I need to obtain a Network Attached Server that has Ethernet ports to connect to the router via ethernet? For instance: SansDigital AN5L+B with Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports. ($520) Or is a Synology or QNAP NAS a better purchase? If so, what model is best for 5 4TB drives? I don't necessarily need a lot of explanation (unless you think it would help). I just want to know whether a hard drive tower connected to router via USB would work well; if not, then what NAS connected to router via ethernet would work well with my setup? Finally, will I need to use the Regen with the Microrendu? I have been reading this thread for awhile; if I missed a previous post answering my question, I am sorry; if so, then please point me there. Many thanks!
 3. @ Chris Connaker Would you please deal with guy? esldude's comment: "Don't have a Regen so not what I had in mind. Would love to seem someone show they can hear a difference though. Surely not what you had in mind Mr. Blowhard." This is a listening impressions thread; this guy does not own the Regen and is making rude, disparaging remarks, we don't need that here. Thanks to Uptone for their professionalism.
 4. I would love to build something similar to CAPS 2.0 that could be used to serve both audio & video from an eSata-attached RAID tower.

The RAID tower (with its noisy fan) will be on the other side of the wall, with the interconnect going through the wall.

Are there any boards that otherwise meet the CAPS 2.0 requirements, that have 8GB RAM expansion, HDMI out, USB 3.0 (not absolutely necessary) but that have a PCI slot, not a PCIe?

I am trying to find something that could be used for video but that can accommodate the sotm usb card without having to use an adapter.

Any ideas?

This would be a stand alone server like CAPS 2.0, but for audio and video.
