So far I've only been able to test out the 1.0 update whilst using headphones direct from the macbook, with no external DAC.
I'm pleased to report the stuttering issues have been overcome, so soundflower is no longer needed.
I had a problem with gapless playback, but checked the online manual, and playing everything from a normal playlist, rather than a dynamic/smart one fixed it.
I haven't noticed an upgrade in SQ (though didn't expect to using the internal DAC) but overall a good update, and I also like the online manual explaining what each preference does.
