  1. the Azuntech card was suggested on meridian unplugged, but is not supported very well on newer machines, also it would have to be internal which is not great. it might be the only option though!
  2. I know this forum is mostly geared towards 2ch.... but. i'm currently using XBMC as my 2ch and 5.1ch music server. running on a mini itx (zotac Ion motherboard) currently i'm using the onboard coax SPDIF output into the digital in on a meridian G68/558 processor-power amp, but want to get a good upgrade. i'm thinking of getting a good soundcard, but it would be great if i could get one which supports 3x SPDIF so that i can output 5.1ch LPCM to the meridian processor (to handle the new HD DD/DTS). the easy way is to get meridian HD621 and use the HDMI to output the audio. but i would rather have a card that can output the multi ch over 3xspdif. not to mention the high cost of the meridian HDMI-3xSPDIF solution. does anyone do this or have a suggestion for a card? i think it may have been possible with old sound cards with a 'digital din' which had 5.a SPDIF channels on a mini din connector. but these cards are ancient and unavailable now,.
