wgscott, are you suggesting these because you feel they are just as good as the more expensive ones? I've seen CA list of suggested players, but I haven’t found any reviews of the players?

I am new to computer HiFi sound. I bought a pair of Event Tuned Reference 8's for my computer a few years ago but just hooked them up directly from the computer. I was not impressed. So I took the next step and added a Benchmark DAC1 via a USB Kimber Kable and two Balanced XLR Kimber Kables to the Event speakers. I was blown away by the improvement in sound. So I want to take another step. I was thinking of improving the player I'm using which is iTunes and trying some HD music files. What do you think, is this a step in the right direction, is it the right next step? Thanks
