    if you're using external HDD, you could try testing different USB cables between the notebook & HDD (better place the HDD on another shelf to emiminate vibration). also try them between notebook & DAC. you'll hear the difference...

    that sounds good... have you encountered the "audio library error" problem that some others have when iTune is installed in the same notebook?
