  1. Hello everyone, I'm a long-time reader of CA, but this is my first post. I'm grateful for all of your help and resources. I've been a vinyl lover for many years, but through your discussions I've begun to discover how wonderful computer audio can sound. Thanks. Here's my question: in my primary system I use a Macbook Pro to feed a Peachtree Decco2. Right now I am using the USB connection, with a copy of Decibel that I've recently added. This combination sounds better in my system (via USB) than when I've connected our Squeezebox Touch (via optical, with soundcheck's suggested changes to settings) and streamed from the same Macbook. I'm interested in the Musical Fidelity V-Link, especially for how it can improve the USB connection. Are there any benefits to the USB to V-Link arrangement over just running the optical from the Macbook into the Decco2? Or, is optical already a form of asynchronous conversion? Thanks for your patience with this question...I'm still learning!
