I needed a pair of XLR ICs to run 25 feet from my source to the amps for a system reconfiguration, and bought these to test and see if they lived up to the rest of my Sablon cables. @audio.bill Thanks for the reference to that thread! looked through it in some detail and it does not seem that they are talking about hybrid solar inverters from the major companies like Solaredge, Tesla, Sol-Ark, Enphase etc. Seems like they're mostly talking about taking the entire system off grid when my concern is any negative effects to the audio system with a solar panel + inverter + battery system which is primarily to save money on electric bills and for battery backup during outages. @austinpop did an extensive writeup on his Tesla system but due to cost considerations Tesla has priced themselves out of consideration (only through 3rd party installers with markup in my area). Contenders are Solaredge and Sol-Ark mainly right now. Thanks!! Yeang

View Classified NUC 7i7DNBE Streamer, custom external clock inputs, Optane 800p 118GB, APACER RAM For sale is a NUC 7i7DNBE modified by SOtM to replace all 3 internal clocks, with external SOtM clock connectors (as pioneered by romaz and austinpop on AudiophileStyle), installed in a fanless Akasa Plato X7 case. This is to be used in conjunction with the SOtM tx-USBultra SE USB regenerator that provides the 3 external clock inputs at 24Mhz, 25Mhz and 27Mhz via SMB coaxial inputs, although you can substitute your own clock sources if you wish. I have listed the SOtM tx-USBultra separately but would prefer to sell them together. Note that the NUC will NOT work without external clock inputs as the native clock crystals have been removed. NUC will also require a 19V input for power, 2.5mm diameter DC input. In addition, a Optane 800p SSD is installed for best sound quality (Optane drives produce much less electronic noise compared to regular SSD drives resulting in a smoother and more relaxed sound). Finally, the best available RAM is also installed and included (APACER Industrial grade SO-DIMMs, 2 x 4GB modules). These were bought through the group buy with nenon on Audiophile Style, and are the closest thing one can get to the Taiko Extreme's custom RAM modules. Running Audiolinux or Euphony, this NUC provided the best sound quality from any streamer I've heard in my system short of the Taiko Extreme which costs a magnitude more (what I've moved to). This would also work well as a top of the line router with a "router on a stick" implementation with pfsense to improve the quality of your streaming services (QoBuz or TIDAL), and also for ripping CDs with a USB drive or decoding SACD ISOs with the best clock quality. The power input is 9V. @Doh I posted this on another thread that @ASRMichael started, but I'll post it here to consolidate experiences: @ASRMichael I will second your warning to anyone who is thinking of buying anything from Adrian or The Linear Solution. Originally I was set on acquiring a Sean Jacobs PSU and had been finalizing negotiations with him (great guy to deal with) after the usual delays in communication with Paul Hynes, when another forum member here convinced me to go with TLS for their "Reference One" PSU which was supposed to be a SR7 killer (or at least similar in quality for a significantly shorter wait). This has been the biggest mistake of my audiophile career. I was also convinced by Austinpop's review of the DS-1 streamer to purchase the same DB-7 streamer that @ASRMichael ended up with. I ended up paying Adrian $5500 around November of 2018 for the DB-7 and the Ref One PSU. After a few months, I decided to go my own route to build the 7i7DNBE streamer with clocks from SOTM, and asked Adrian to switch the funds to a second Ref One PSU. He was agreeable with that. Everything went downhill after that. The PSU went through several iterations (as we were beta testers/guinea pigs) - he was charging SR7 prices for a PSU that he hadn't even fully developed. From my end, I did not receive a PSU until October of 2019, about 1 year after I paid him the cash. I only received one of two units. To Adrian's credit, the Ref One PSU that arrived did work, and it was somewhat better in quality that the HDPlex 100W unit I was using up to that time (not a challenging mark to hit). But it was not a huge leap forward; as I do not have an SR7 I could not compare, but I doubt it was at the same level. At that point, I decided to cut my losses and asked him for a refund. Every time a refund was mentioned, this resulted in email silence from Adrian. It's now the end of Jan 2020, 1 year and 3 months after I paid $5500 and he has stopped responding to my emails. I would steer well clear of anything having to do with TLS/The Linear Solution or Adrian Wun in any of his subsequent ventures.

@Nenon the crosshair vii has bios flashback. No need for any cpu installed to flash to newest bios. I had to do it twice.
