  1. Thats a shame. Because Windows XP does not support Wassapi, and ASIO4ALL transforms ASIO to Kernel (or something like that,if I understand correctly). So I will have to configure JRIVER 17 to Kernel and maybe the Rega DAC will support it.But I am not shure it will have the same sound quality as ASIO. Just looking for bit-perfect audio, optimize the hardware and enjoy music. Maybe this is a good reason to change the OS to windows 7 which supports Wassapi. Thank for your swift answer.
  2. As you are a proud owner of the Rega DAC. I am interested to know if it supports ASIO and/or Wassapi? My brother is using JRIVER 17 on Windows XP (via USB)and couldn`t figure out from the Rega manual if it supports ASIO natively. There is no mention of ASIO or Wassapi in the manual. Because if the Rega DAC doesn`t support ASIO, there will still be sound `direct sound`) but not bit perfect. Maybe you can advise on that? Thanks in avance
