I picked up the NHT Classic Three monitors a few years ago and have been very happy with them. They're on stands [of unknown provenance] right up against a wall in the living room of my apartment; the left speaker is basically in a corner and the right speaker has no boundary perpendicular to the wall [the living room extends into an open dining area]. It's not ideal placement. But I have to say that these speakers sound great from different listening positions. They have great midrange and bass, too.
